[R8-04]Electron back-scattered diffraction data of the Himalayan HP and UHP eclogites

EBSD maps and CPOs of eclogite-facies phases are reported in this study to understand the deformation regimes. Omphacite exhibits L-type CPO with strong [001] axes parallel to the lineation, suggesting a constrictive strain regime. Garnet exhibits weak and complex fabric patterns and behaved like rigid bodies. Hornblende exhibits similar fabric to those of omphacite, indicating homotactic crystal growth by the replacement of omphacite during retrogression stages.
