The South Delhi Fold Belt, a part of the Aravalli-Delhi Orogenic Belt in NW India preserves spectacular meso- to microscopic evidence of poly-phase folding deformation leading to a regional "positive flower structure". We report the regional-scale variation of fold structure to characterize this transpressive orogeny and different pulses of granite emplacement. U-Pb zircon age provides us to bracket the timing between ca. 995 Ma and ca. 850 Ma for this oblique collision.
