[R8P-07]Metamorphic textures and garnet REE variation of Fe-Al-rich granulites in north Sør Rondane Mountains, East Antarctica

In this presentation, we report the variation of the REE content of garnets in different textures that observed in Fe-Al-rich granulites collected from northwest of the Sør -Rondane Mountains, East Antarctica. Two varieties of garnet occur as porphyroblast, and as corona overgrows on spinel and ilmenite. The REE contents measured using Laser-ICP-MS for garnet porphyroblast and garnet corona show a clear difference between the two varieties. We will discuss the formation of the REE-depleted garnet corona.
