In order to examine the magma evolution of the Mendeleev volcano, we have reported mineral compositions, whole rock compositions, melt and fluid inclusions descriptions of volcanic rocks from 39 ka caldera-forming eruption of Mendeleev Volcano (Kunashir Island). As result, we present the first conclusions about the genesis of the dacite magmas of the Mendeleev volcano.
