Quartzites synthesized at high temperature and pressure suggested that cementation of quartzite through dissolved silica redistribution occurred driven by the poroelasticity in undrained system. Calculated flux indicated efficient silica transport by high diffusivity of silica through grain boundary interstices. The poroelastic cementation will efficiently proceed centimeter to meter scale depending on the temperature in subduction zones.
