We tried to experimental study of producing a blue faience bead using natural quartz, malachite, calcite, and synthetic K2CO3. Products of heating experiments at 850 ℃ were transparent blue material with glassy lustre, and micro pores. XRD analysis data of the products show quartz, and minor wollastonite, tenorite and portlandite. The produced bead has an aggregate texture consisting of 30-50 μm quartz particle filled by K-Ca-Cu silicate.
