Keywords:
Calc-alkaline andesite
Early-Miocene volcanic rocks, including Ol-bering Cpx-Opx calc-alkaline andesite and dolerite, are distributed in the northern part of Noto peninsula, Japan. These andesites have high Mg# Opx and low FeO*/MgO with low concentration of LILE and HREE. Geochemical observation suggests that calc-alkaline andesites were not generated by fractional crystallization of basaltic magma. Calc-alkaline andesites may be derived from source material that have different condition from that of basaltic magma.
