Understanding the development of opposite shear sense (oss) fabric in the Mahanadi Shear Zone (MSZ) provide important insights into the kinematics of crustal-scale shear zone. The present study is focused in a part of MSZ within the Proterozoic Eastern Ghats Belt, India. Our results suggest either a sub-simple shear regime or combined Couette-Poiseuille flow to be the controlling mechanism for the development of the oss fabric.
