2023年2月6日にトルコ南東部で発生した地震では、震源近傍や隣国のシリアで甚大な建物被害が発生するとともに,3月時点での犠牲者数は50000人以上となった。16JEESでは本地震に関する緊急セッションをOSとして開催し,被害調査速報や記録分析等,地震工学に関わる幅広い分野から報告していただき情報交換の場としたい。
