The Japan Institute of Metals and Materials

Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Ministry of science and technology (MOST), Ministry of industry, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the China National Petroleum Corporation, many projects related to lithium ion batteries and hydrogen storage materials have been carried out as part of National 12th and 13th Five Year Plan, National High Tech Research and development program, National key basic research and development program, the national key scientific and technological projects and major projects of the Chinese Academy of sciences. Great progress has been made in the design, production, performance and application of lithium ion batteries and hydrogen storage materials and some research works have reached the international advanced level. In my report, I will give a general overview of the current situation and developments in these areas.
