LiFeSO4F or LiVPO4F can have higher energy density than LiFePO4 due to high redox potential. Especially, LiFeSO4F achieves the highest voltage (3.9 V) among Fe2+/Fe3+ redox couples. Even though triplite LiFeSO4F has full disordering of Li/Fe in metal sites that can block Li long-range Li diffusion channel and then lead to poor electrochemical activity, it can show reasonable electrochemical activity and good rate capability.
