本研究開発では、室温付近で低い格子熱伝導率を示すAg₂Seに注目して、Seを過剰にしたりSを添加したりすることで結晶構造の制御に成功した。その結果、電気輸送特性の改善と熱電性能指数ZTの向上を達成した。
