金属溶湯脱成分法を純チタンと純マグネシウムの接合に応用した。中間層としてTi100-xScx(x=40,50,60)を使用し、670℃で15分等温保持をして接合した試料は約100MPaの引張強度を示し、純マグネシウムで母材破断した。
