(Sm, Ce)₂Co₁₇磁石のXMCD平均減磁曲線では反磁界と磁気予効の効果を考慮すると、磁気測定減磁曲線と良く合う。この結果から、XMCDは表面の測定であるにも関わらずバルク磁石の特性を反映しているものと考えられる。
