Cast-and-chip Mg-20Ni reaches 4.9 wt% H2 in 10 min at 350 C. 0.8 wt% Sn refines Mg2Ni, absorbing in 3 min. Extrusion affords little benefit, but hydride offers a novel strategy for handling in air.
