Subgrains have been reported to potentially deteriorate the superelastic properties of Fe–Mn–Al–Ni alloy. In this study, the effects of subgrains formed by cyclic heat treatment on the superelastic behavior of Fe–Mn–Al–Ni alloy was investigated through uniaxial tensile tests, in-situ observations, and EBSD analysis.
