In this study, SUS304, a representative austenitic stainless steel, was investigated. In situ time-of-flight (TOF) neutron diffraction was employed to evaluate the deformation-induced martensitic transformation behavior during tensile deformation, compressive deformation, and low-cycle fatigue at room temperature.
