Compression tests with digital image correlation (DIC) on a Zr₅₀Cu₄₀Al₁₀ bulk metallic glass with frozen elastic strain by stress annealing showed sustained stress beyond the elastic limit and clear plastic elongation, suggesting improved ductility.
