Ni–Cu alloy films with gradient composition were fabricated by pulse plating using different numbers of potential pulses. The film deposited with five pulses showed a composition gradient closer to the target profile than that deposited with three pulses. The effect of the number of pulses on the microstructure was investigated by EBSD and XRD.
