Local electron diffraction patterns were continuously calculated from a Cu₆₄Zr₃₆ structural model. A columnar structure with linearly aligned atomic clusters exhibited both spots and arc patterns. These arc patterns emerge from connected clusters with gradual shape and orientation shifts, illuminating glass formation.
