Grain/colony-size distribution
This study examines how Ga, Ta, and Zr additions affect Ti-Fe based mille-feuille alloys. Ga- and Ta-added alloys kept lamellar structures and showed higher yield stress at 600 °C. EBSD analysis suggests that Ta addition reduces coarse grains/colonies, suppresses large kink-band formation, and improves high-temperature strength.
