In this presentation, we will report the results of evaluating the interaction between the surface of AB2-type hydrogen storage alloys and CO2 using DFT calculations and in-situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) under a gas atmosphere to clarify the effect of constituent elements on CO2 poisoning tolerance.
