Oxygen-defective ZrO2-x was fabricated via precision oxidation of Zr foils. Under specific heat treatments, room-temperature ferromagnetism appeared. CTEM showed that heating above the phase transition induced fine variants with moiré-like contrasts suggesting a periodic oxygen-defective structure.
