strain rate effects on a Mg-2wt% Mn alloy at 723K. However, a high strain rate triggered peak stress and dynamic recrystallization, whereas a low rate led to lower flow stress dominated by dynamic recovery. Thus, controlling the strain rate effectively tailors the microstructure.
