CoCrMo/Ti-6Al-4V bimetallic joints were fabricated by spark plasma sintering. Higher temperature and longer holding time reduced porosity and promoted interfacial diffusion. Two reaction layers formed, with phase transformation and TiCo3 formation, providing insight for multi-material orthopedic implants.
