The Ni/vacancy site preference of Ir in Half-Heusler ZrNiSn, which becomes p-type upon Ir incorporation, was investigated by Rietveld analysis of XRD profiles. Ir mainly substitutes for Ni at the 4c site, while excess Ni and Ir randomly occupy vacancies at the 4d site.
