Trivalent chromium electrodeposition from a hydrate melt-based bath yields a metastable δ-phase associated with hydrogen co-deposition, along with the stable α-phase. In this study, We electrochemically extracted hydrogen from the deposits and investigated the relationship between hydrogen co-deposition and the δ-phase.
