To clarify hydrogen embrittlement, nanoindentation tests were conducted on hydrogen-charged Fe–8%Al alloy. At 5% pre-strain, flow stress decreased on the (111) and (100) planes, especially the (111) plane, suggesting that hydrogen primarily affects interactions between pre-existing dislocations.
