We evaluated the wear resistance of a Mo-Ga compound layer formed on Mo alloy as a measure against liquid metal embrittlement. By comparing changes in the microstructure under different heat treatment conditions, we showed that a two-step heat treatment can create a compound layer with excellent wear resistance.
