Among the current collectors for Mg rechargeable batteries, C-coated Al exhibited the highest oxidation stability. Furthermore, the Coulombic efficiency ranged from 60% to 80% for all Al-based current collectors. Additionally, the results suggest that the surface roughness of C-coated Al may promote Mg precipitation.
