SUS304 and SUS430 specimens were electrochemically hydrogen-charged and strained to successive fractions, and the internal damage was imaged by X-ray CT at each stage. In SUS304 no CT-resolvable voids developed, whereas in SUS430, the relaxation behavior of void formation and the linear increase in void fraction with strain were confirmed.
