Recently, the novel hydrogen storage alloy YMgAl was reported. The pseudo-binary YMgxAl2−x system is expected to exhibit improved hydrogen storage properties. This study investigated the effects of composition on the alloy phases and hydrogen storage properties of YMgxAl2−x.
