Laser powder bed fusion yields Ni-base superalloys with unique hierarchical microstructures. This study focuses on the energy density to investigate the morphology and formation mechanism of the cellular structures within this hierarchy. Furthermore, their effects on the strengthening mechanism were elucidated.
