Repeated drop weight tests were performed on lubricated and unlubricated pure copper plates by repeatedly dropping a steel ball onto the specimen surface. The crystallographic texture formed on the deformed surface during the drop-weight tests was characterized using electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD).
