The coupled-to-decoupled growth transition of the FCC/B2 eutectic during rapid solidification in an LPBF-fabricated AlCo-based eutectic high-entropy alloy was investigated. A solidification map was established, and the thermodynamic mechanism governing the growth mode transition was elucidated.
