Nb–Si alloys are promising heat-resistant materials for gas turbines. Toughness improvement requires heat-treatment-induced eutectoid decomposition of Nb₃Si into ductile BCC-Nb and strengthening Nb₅Si₃. This study investigated the effect of Ti addition on this decomposition behavior.
