The effects of Fe foils and Fe particles on the magnetostrain behavior of laminated composites containing single-crystal Ni–Mn–Ga particles were investigated. Cu and Fe foil composites were compared, and the Fe particle content in the polymer layer was varied to clarify its effect on the magnetic field required for magnetostrain generation.
