Ti addition to ferritic stainless steels alters the composition and dissolution behavior of sulfide inclusions, thereby affecting pit initiation. In this study, the relationship between inclusion evolution induced by Ti addition and pitting corrosion resistance was investigated through electrochemical measurements and SEM/EDS analyses.
