[342] Formation of Interfacial Reaction Phase of Al Alloy and Ni-plated Steel Sheet by Magnetic Pulse Welding

Ni-plated steel sheets as the fixed sheet and aluminum alloy sheet as the moving sheet, and the two were joined by Magnetic Pulse Welding. Observation of the interface microstructure revealed that a hard and ductile amorphous phase was formed at the joint interface. This amorphous phase acts as a joint layer and contributes to the joint strength.
