[121]First-principles study on the thermal transport properties of Laves phases in Mg–Al–Ca alloys

We evaluated the thermal transport properties of Laves phases in Mg–Al–Ca alloys based on first-principles calculations. Our results show that the C15 phase exhibits higher electronic thermal conductivity than the C36 phase and that electronic transport is the dominant mechanism in both phases.
