Based on findings from diffusion heat treatment of TiNiCu shape-memory alloy sheets, porous TiNi alloy was fabricated by diffusion heat treatment of mixed Ti and Ni particles. Micropores of several to several tens of micrometers formed, and composition analysis confirmed the intended Ti–50 at%Ni.
