To reduce electric vehicle weight, high-strength and high-conductivity Al alloys are required to replace copper. This study investigates the effects of aging conditions on lamellar discontinuous precipitation in an Al-8 wt.% Ag alloy to achieve both matrix purification for conductivity recovery and microstructural control for strengthening.
