超微細結晶粒純Feに対し，ひずみ速度急変引張試験におけるIn-situ XRD測定を行い，応力のオーバーシュート，アンダーシュートの発現機構を，転位密度変化の観点から検討した．これらは，結晶粒界が転位増殖の抑制および消滅源としての働きが示唆された．
