原子炉心の部材は、中性子などの照射を受けると、微細組織変化が生じる。この部材が事故などにより高い温度に加熱されると、温度に従い、特徴的な組織変化を生じる。事故を生じた炉の炉心材料の微細組織から、事故過程の検討に有用な情報を得られる可能性があり、その適応性について考察する。
