金属系医療用インプラントの生体適合性は、生体環境下での金属溶出挙動と溶出金属イオンの細胞毒性の双方に支配されるが、これらを統合的に評価する指標は十分に確立されていない。本研究では、腐食電流密度と金属イオン毒性を統合した新規生体適合性指標VITAを提案し、生体用金属材料の設計およびスクリーニングへの有用性を示した。
