学校教育においては「がん教育」や「性教育」といった、子ども達一人一人が自らの命を守る力を養う教育が、学習指導要領に基づき各教育機関で行われている。<br>今回、自らも居住地域の保健予防活動に関わりながら全国各地で包括的性教育を行う産婦人科医、従来のマニュアル化された避難訓練ではなく実災害で主体的に行動できることを目標にした災害実動訓練を考える看護師、地域との連携を意識し子ども達が未来を生き抜くことができるよう主体性を養う教育を行う学校長、養護教諭の専門性を生かし発達段階に応じて健康教育を組み立てる養護教諭、以上4名からの実践報告を行う本企画を提案する。医療の専門家と学校教育の専門家が「つながる」ことで見えてくる教育現場における新たな保健予防活動・健康教育の形を提示し、参加した医療者一人一人が明日から地元で「まなびをつなげる、ひろげる」きっかけを得ることができることをシンポジウムの目的とした。
