Nowadays, water shortage is serious problem around the world, so many countries use desalinating system to make fresh water from seawater. But it is not used in developing countries, because it takes very high cost. Therefore, to make a new desalinating system, we used peat and volcanic ash soil in my research. They have an ability of adsorbing ions and we thought that it might adsorb the sodium ion and chloride ion from sea water.
