It is important to focus on not only geological but also ecological and cultural resources in the geoparks. However, understanding and utilization of ecological resources are not sufficient in many geopark areas.
To advance understanding and utilization of ecological resources in Japanese Geoparks, we picked out descriptions about “ecological resources” from Evaluation Mission Reports for Japanese Geoparks and reviewed those trends.
