[S01] Strong acidity of zeolite: origin and contribution to society

Some H-type zeolites have a structure in which the SiOAl bridge is compressed from both ends, resulting in the sharing of negative charge by AlO₄ and generation of strong Brønsted acidity. This provides catalytic activity for hydrocarbon conversion reactions useful for environmental protection and the sustainable supply of energy and chemical resources.
