Converging mechanisms underlying stress resilience and antidepressant effects: Contributions of the prefrontal dopaminergic system

Achieving "One Health"—an integrated understanding of human, animal, and environmental health—requires a comprehensive multi-scale approach to biological phenomena. This symposium brings together early-career researchers from the Japanese societies of Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Neuroscience, and Pharmacology to present cutting-edge research spanning cellular to organismal levels. Topics include organoid-based organ function modeling, neurotransmitter dynamics analysis, and three-dimensional human anatomical understanding. By integrating expertise across disciplines, we aim to deepen our understanding of biological processes from molecules to tissues and entire biological systems, establishing foundations for next-generation pharmacology that promotes not only human health but also harmony with animals and the environment. We hope this symposium serves as a catalyst for cross-disciplinary dialogue and collaboration, opening new horizons for pharmacology in the One Health era.
